V8 Series Heads to Albany  - Tuesday November 9th, 10

The Speedway Sedan Racing Club is heading to Albany Speedway for their 3rd Round of the Southside Engine Centre Super Sedan Summer Series on Saturday 13th November 2010 at Attwell Park.

Super Sedans are the elite Sedan division and the V8 Supercars and NASCAR of Speedway and always are a crowd favourite especially in Regional WA. The SSRC Summer Series has attracted leading drivers and race teams’ and event organisers are extremely confident that the fantastic nights racing will attract huge crowds.

The 20 race car contingency will hit town after 2 amazing showdowns at Perth Motorplex in the past month for there first country appearance.

Local WA heroes and top 10 in the series on their way to Albany are Gary Higgs Marc Giancola Darren Larson Dustin Higgs Bert Vosbergen Micheal Nash Kodee Brown Tristan Green Kyle Larson and Peter Lyall. They will be joined by Dan Miller from South Australia, who will compete in next the three rounds during the month of November, along with the State Title at the Perth Motorplex in December, with the possibility of other rounds in December as well.

Having spent  time overseas as a Mechanic for Formula 1 team Williams, and being an integral part of Ralph Schumacher’s’ first Grand Prix victory earlier in the decade, Miller moved to South Australia and has competed locally, finishing second in the South Australian title in 2009.  Travelling the world whilst working in F1, and having the opportunity to meet people that he idolised including Jimmy Johnson, Jeff Gordon, Pele, Dennis Hopper, Travis Pastrana, Ricky Carmichael and Valentino Rossi to name a few.
