Bert Vosbergen Marc Giancola and Tony Giancola will feature in a live interview on Ms Jenny Seaton’s Afternoon Show
Curtin FM 100.1 at 2.20pm - Monday 25 October.

Claremont Speedway was one of Australia's and indeed one of the world's oldest and longest running Speedway venues. Speedway was conducted at the Show Grounds at Claremont, W.A. for over 70 years running from May 14th.1927 to March 31st. 2000. John S Hoskins started it off in 1927 and it's most famous promoters were 10 times world solo finalist, Aub Lawson, Aussie sidecar great Jim Davies and ofcorse “Mr Speedway” Con Migro was another.
Many Curtin FM listeners would have very fond memoires of going to Claremont Speedway every Friday night during the long hot summer months, maybe sitting in “fowl house corner” and then after speedway heading off to Bernie’s for the best burger in town!!
Alas many fans did not make the transition from Claremont and now 10 years on there is a whole new generation getting off on the roar of race car engines, the smell of methanol and splatter of mud and clay as they sit on the grassed terraced banks of the spectacular Perth Motorplex -considered the best purpose built motorsport complex in the southern hemisphere.
Afternoon Show Guests will be ‘Big Bad Bert ‘Vosbergen, Tony Giancola and Marc Giancola. Between these 3 gentlemen they hold 4 Australian National Titles and 15 WA State Titles.
Both Bert Vosbergen and Tony Giancola were high profile Speedway personalities at the conclusion of Claremont Speedway and have continued that star quality with careers at Perth Motorplex …Bert as an age defying (64yo) hard charging and ‘getting sideways in the dirt’ V8 Super Sedan driver and Tony as highly respected Crew Chief for his extremely successful son Marc.
Marc Giancola is the current 3 times WA Super Sedan State Champion and is one of the most high profile and most professional drivers on the speedway scene. He is representative of the new generation of Speedway Personality and knows exactly the kind of hype and excitement that fans can expect when they go to Speedway today at Perth Motorplex.
All 3 men would agree that Speedway is what defines them and they will be inviting those listeners that maybe haven’t been to speedway since the heady days of Claremont to venture back trackside to the Perth Motorplex Season 2010 /2011 feel the adrenalin and just see what they’ve been missing.
