SSRC 2011 PRESENTATION DINNER

The SSRC 2011 PRESENTATION DINNER was held last Saturday night at the Runway Café Jandakot Airport with over 90 guests in attendance to celebrate what has been indeed a very successful year for the Club.

SSRC CHAIRMAN – Kevin Theyer commenced preceding by expressing his thanks to all concerned on the Management Executive and all the Drivers for making it such an amazing season. He especially thanked all the Sponsors with out whose support and help -it would have not been possible. He said that the club was about to enter into some very exciting times that would put WA Super Sedans on the National Speedway Map.

He then introduced the SSRC POWER POINT PHOTO PRESENTATION produced and presented by a very talented Miss Talia Larson.

The Nights Presentations were as follows: 

WASCF SUPER SEDAN STATE TITLE  

This was held at the Perth Motorplex just prior to Xmas over two nights 17th / 18th December, 2010 with 25 nominations.   Official placing for the event were Marc Giancola, Gary Higgs, Kodee Brown and Brent Halliday.

This trophy is voted on by the Executive and based on how many race meetings the driver has competed in, how successful they have been and they must be a member of SSRC

SSRC have had two Chief Stewards officiate their race meetings.  This award winner was chosen by Jerome Sutton

DRIVERS DRIVER AWARD  

Presented by Andrew Winsall the Clerk of Course at Perth Motorplex. Andrew commented that Supers Sedans always looked fantastic and were very easily his favourite division racing at the Perth Motorplex always putting on hard wheel to wheel racing with very few stoppages. He also announced that the National Super Sedan Series coming to Perth Motorplex was a great initiative and would be a spectacular event.

The Drivers Drivers award was voted on by the drivers via secret ballot and it was pleasing to see so many different names nominated.
